Section of the Midland Plant as Section Manager from 25 OSHA recordables to
8 in a three-year period.
Reduced costs by $6,000,000 per year for Services while improving service
levels by teams using the Quality Process and Continuous Improvements.
Received a Dow U.S. Area President's Special Performance Award for the above results.
Responsible as Site Services Manager for the Bay City Plants for Safety, Loss Prevention, Security, Medical, and Site Services (including Purchasing, Traffic, Utilities, and Environmental compliance).
As Manager of Loss Prevention for Dow's Michigan Division, changed emphasis of Loss Prevention towards more formal use of Risk Assessment. Results were improved project reviews, reduction of risk, and the bottom line of lowering losses and costs and increasing the level of self-insurance.
Identified the need for uniform and improved Relief Design and was part of a team that received a Dow U.S. Area Engineering Award for "Contributing to design technology and plant safety now used throughout the Dow world".
Led development of new technology for Consumer Saran Wrap, served as Project Manager for the design and construction of a new plant, and successfully started up the plant, as it's first Superintendent.
